After procuring the most recent 12 months’ Load Profile information from your utility company, we shop the procurement of the actual load shape and size individually with each of our suppliers.

This review process should begin no later than 6 months before the ending of your current energy service agreement. If your Load Profile is appropriate to do so, we will provide access to an Energy Exchange where many retail energy providers will participate in a fully transparent electronic auction providing the absolute best price available for satisfying your businesses’ specific energy requirement. Please contact us so that we may send you the respective utility access form which will allow us to begin this important process.



Can I switch? Yes! Con Edison is a Distribution Company, but not the Service Provider. If your current rate is not between 8 and 12 cents per kWh, please contact us today!

Yes, your local electric utility will still deliver the electricity over the same power lines and using the same meter. The only difference you should notice is lower, more consistent monthly bills.

FAQs.

A Letter of Authorization is a one page document signed by a company giving JLT Energy Consultants permission to get the company’s usage data, such as monthly demand (kW) and electricity usage (kWh) from the utility entity that delivers electricity to that company’s facilities. It does NOT authorize any confidential information gathering or switching of Retail Electricity Providers (REP).
JLT Energy Consultants and Retail Electric Providers (REP) require the usage data; both demand (kW) and quantity (kWh) to provide pricing for a company. Both of those pieces of information affect the cost of electricity and therefore the REP needs accurate information in order to price their offering to a company. It allows them to offer the best price for each company’s particular usage.
Each REP has their own set of contract terms and conditions (T&C); they have their own trading department and their own customer service department. Some are new, some are established, some small and have weak financials while others are part of a national major corporation that is financially sound. JLT Energy Consultants, work with the different REPs every day. We can guide our customers with information about the T&C that are best suited to their situation, about who is offering the best price for their particular needs, what their options are for best contract length, what their best options are for when to buy/renew their contracts. We can provide them information on a REP’s customer service level, their financial strength and stability.
The PUC is a state run organization that is designed to protect the individual consumers and small commercial accounts (under 50 kW) using a set of regulations that all the REPs must follow regardless of their normal T&C.

You should first follow the instruction provide by the REP to see if you can resolve the matter quickly. If you discover that the requires additional information or knowledge, JLT Energy Consultants is always here to support you and will do everything in its power to assist you in resolving the problem. Most of the problems are precluded by being with the best REP for your business, however, from time to time issues can arise and we JLT is here to serve.
You should always contact your utility company, ONCOR, Centerpoint, AEP, TNMP, as they are responsible for delivering the power to the user for all REPs. If the issue is not resolved, contact JLT Energy Consultants and we will do everything in our power to resolve the issue with you. Can I pay with a credit card? Some of the REPs do accept credit card payments. JLT Energy Consultants can guide you as to your payment options with each REP.
